We send smiles, joy and hope to children who need it!
Children are pretty easy to please. Little things, like stickers and scented crayons and shiny pennies, are treasures to them. And getting mail of their very own is an exciting event! For a child living with difficult circumstances, a treasure-filled envelope just for him can brighten his life.
That's where we come in! When a child who could use a little cheer is referred to us, multiple members of the group will each put together a special card, sometimes with a small gift, and send it off. Referrers can request a "card shower," where all sorts of cards arrive at around the same time (such as a child's birthday) or have the child added to a general list where cards may arrive at any time throughout the year.
This is just a small way that we can bring children a little bit of joy, and show them that there are people in the world who care.
